Rena Adler- Thesis statements

1-“Quite frankly, there’s no reason to rush headlong into building this bridge,” was a citation found in a New York Times article, following the bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, although the above statement is true in regard to devastating tragedies of higher magnitude than the bridge collapse, the bridge is needed for societal functioning and therefore overrides the need for a memorial in its place.

2-“Somebody should be charged with murder,” was a bold quotation found in a New York Times article, following the tragic bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although many feel that a bridge collapse does not come under the category of a “natural disaster”, the amount of effort and inspections toward public safety on that particular bridge was numerous and therefore deemed it unavoidable.
