Nikita's Summary of 1974

During the 1974, President Nixon impeachment was taking place due to the Watergate scandal. General Ford was sworn in for the presidency and he had to deal with long endless Vietnam War. Northern Vietnamese army decided to invade the South Vietnam. During December of 1974 North Vietnam army disobey treaty of Paris, which encourage the northern army to develop final plan to win the war.President General Ford protest against the Northern army, instead launching attack. William Calley was freed from house arrest; he was found guilty for killing twenty-two people in My Lai. President General Ford declare clemency program for draft evader and military deserters. The program was for rebel sworn and promises to perform community service
