NEW THESIS-Tommyy
In our society, the media is the number one source of information for most people. It provides us with all the information we want, and information we need to know about anything. One major topic that is discussed is the “War on Drugs”. This war has been ongoing since President Nixon initiated it in 1968, because our soldiers were coming home from the Vietnamese War addicted to heroin and other drugs. Even though there are many drug laws in place right now, they are very inefficient. On paper the drug laws seem very reasonable, but in a broader sense are necessarily unfair. Many people are affected due to these laws inefficiency. There have been many suggestions of solution to the problems that are caused by the drug laws. In this paper I will provide information about what the drug laws currently are, who is being affected by them, what the actual crimes and punishments are, and what possible solutions to these problems have been suggested.

In the end, this has too little to do with the media (as suggested at the beginning) to be of too much use here, Tommy. And I'd have to say there have been enough high school essays written about the war on drugs . Best to think about the concerns of the class, particularly concerns drawn from the reading.
