2.11

On Monday, February 11th, remember class will be in the library A101.

In addition, be sure to finish setting up your blog, posting video and other articles, then type and post all summaries and questions about each newspaper to your blog by 8pm on Sunday February 10th. These questions and summaries will be graded individually, so be sure to spend a good deal of time on them.

Our next steps will involve memorialization and the ways in which these stories are memoiralized. So look for articles on one year anniversaries, articles on memorials (either temporary or discussions of how to permanently commemorate an event) or (in the case of Sean Bell, but in others as well) funerals and other rallies dedicated to memorialization.

Each student should then post at least one article about the memorialization and one video on the subject. The article can usually be found in the newspapers you're already working with. The video can be found anywhere, but youtube has thousands of videos people have made to commemorate various events.

These should also be posted by Sunday night.

And be sure to be familiarizing yourself with everything on your blog, as you'll be working on a paper and presentation together over the next week or two.
